It is reported that French steel output fell by 36.7% YoY to 1.053 million tonnes in March 2009.
In the first quarter of 2009, French steel output totaled 2.936 million tonnes, dropped by 39.7% YoY as compared with the same period of last year.
Under the backgrounds of financial crisis and economic crisis, the orders of auto industry and construction reduced by a wide range. Therefore, steel mills have forced to drop their production greatly.
