
Quintain Steel, one of the major wire rod producers in Taiwan, has announced to keep its list prices for wire rod products unchanged for October 2012.
Quintain Steel stated that it decided to remain the November 2012 list prices flat as it considered that the further price cut would not help to push up demand and Feng Hsin remained its list prices for 101 wire rod unchanged.
After the price announcement, its latest prices of Al killed wire rod are at TWD 24,500 per tonne; that of blast furnace killed wire rod is at TWD 21,500 per tonne and that of rimmed wire rod is at TWD 22,500 per tonne.
Meanwhile, the electric furnace Al-killed wire rod is at TWD 21,000 per tonne.
