Bloomberg reported that Japan Bank for International Corporation will lend about JPY 1 trillion to Japanese manufacturers including automakers operating in the US and Europe.
As per report, the government will set up the emergency financing facility in January 2009 to help Japanese companies facing funding difficulties abroad because of the global credit crisis.
It may be noted that Japanese automakers namely Toyota Motor Corporation, Honda Motor Co and Nissan Motor Co have requested for such loans. Makers of chemicals, electronics and steel can also tap this financing facility.
