The iron and steel industry and car production sector were the most affected industrial sectors, because of the crisis that has started to be visible in Romania starting the second half of 2008, 50% in December 2008 and by 56% in January 2009.

The report said that production in the steel industry decreased by 23.3% in October 2008 by some 47% in November 2008, 50% in December 2008 and by 56% in January 2009.

In the car production, the diminutions were of 2.3% in October 2008, 36.4% in November 2008, 59.2% in December 2008 and by 43.8% in January 2009.
