Romania grants a EUR 370 million loan for Bucharest metro line

It is reported that the government of Romania has authorized the ministry of finance to take a EUR 370 million loan from the European Investment Bank on October 28th 2009 for the construction of Drumul Taberei Universitate metro line in Bucharest.

Mr Emil Boc acting Prime Minister of Romania said that the project should be completed in 2015.

He added that the whole metro line is to cost EUR 900 million. The project will be financed from foreign loans and the state budget. The line will be 9.05 kilometers long and will have 14 stations.
