Metal building materials manufacturer Ruukki Romania, subsidiary of the Finish Rautaruukki Group, will deliver 2,400 tonnes of steel structures for a new cement factory in Lithuania.

Mr Ari Haapaniemi director of Ruukki’s factory in Bolintin Deal said that the contract signed between the Finish Group and the company that is building the new factory, Panevezio Statybos Trestas, amounts to EUR 6 million and states the delivery of a total of 4,100 tonnes of steel structures. More than half will come from the Bolintin Deal factory, near capital city Bucharest. The Romanian factory is one of the biggest in the group and has the capacity to deal with such projects in real time.

The Finish Group entered the Romanian market in 2001. Worldwide, the company is active on 27 markets and posts yearly sales of around EUR 2 billion.
