Ruukki's new paint shop and packaging dispatch department to serve engineering customers at the Jaszbereny factory in Hungary comes on stream on January 13th 2011. The new paint shop is one of the most modern in Europe and capable of processing massive items.

Jaszbereny factory makes booms, heavy frames and special steel based components for the lifting, handling and transportation equipment industry and for equipment manufacturers in the energy industry.

Mr Erik Skogström SVP operations at Ruukki said that "Coating capacity at Jaszbereny will double as a result of the investment. The new facility will be able to process also larger components, weighing up to 50 tonnes."

Solvent and water borne coating systems can also be used in the new coating facility. Modern technology ensures high quality and meets the high environmental and quality requirements of customers and the authorities alike. The investment was around EUR 5 million.
