Samsung Engineering Co, South Korea's largest industrial plant builder, said that its net profit rose by 16.6% in the second quarter from a year ago on increased sales.

Samsung Engineering said in a regulatory filing that net profit came to KRW 112.5 billion in the April to June 2011 period as compared with KRW 96.4 billion during the same period in 2010.
