Sandvik has been recognized as one of the world's most innovative companies, to be listed on Thomson Reuters 2011 Top 100 Global Innovator companies.

Mr David Brown president of the IP Solutions business of Thomson Reuters said that "Innovation is a means of growth and prosperity for companies and nations seeking to overcome sluggish economies and achieve competitive advantage."

Among companies on the list are Apple, Microsoft, General Electric and Toyota.
