Scomi Marine Bhd has won a contract from TNB Fuel Services Sdn Bhd to transport coal from Australia, Indonesia, China and South Africa worth RM49.12 million per annum for the next three years. Scomi Marine said the contract would commence from October 1 2006 and expire on Sept 30 2009. TNB Fuel has the option to extend the contract for another two years.

Under the contract, the company is required to transport 500,000 tonnes of coal per year for TNB Fuel, subject to 20% variation at TNB Fuel's discretion.
