It is reported that there are new signs which point to Severstal Steel considering a sale of it's plants here in the Ohio Valley.

Mr Dave McCall spokesman of USW said that "I am confident that we will be successful in resolving the ownership issues."

Sources earlier revealed that the USW was backing an offer from Renco Steel.

Mr McCall concluded by saying that "At the appropriate time more details about the ownership will be released."

Nearly three quarters of the companies workforce in the Ohio Valley is on layoff after Severstal shutdown the electric arc furnace and blast furnace in Mingo Junction.
