El Universal quoted Mr Carlos D'Oliveira president of steel and iron company Siderúrgica del Orinoco or Sidor as saying that by 2012, it aims to produce 3.7 million tonnes of liquid steel.

He said that the production will be good to keep on supporting Great Mission Housing Venezuela, comply with our customers and suppliers, and fulfill the requisite commitments to our workers.

Mr D'Oliveira specified that the steel and iron company moves toward consolidation of a collective management, to ensure the involvement of the labor force in decision making and ensure that the company will be at the service of people, communities and the country development.
