Taiwan's largest shipbuilder CSBC has agreed to delay delivery of 14 containerships to All Oceans Transportation, a unit of ship owner Yang Ming Marine.

Among the new buildings, five 8,240 TEU ships have had their delivery dates postponed by 15 months on average.

Four 6,600 TEU vessels have been postponed by six months and a further 4,500 TEU vessels will now be delivered 13 months later, on an average, than first scheduled.

All the ships will be delivered through 2011 and 2012 rather than 2010 to 2011.
