Slowdown signs - Low demand and prices force Alcoa to cut output

It is reported that US aluminum maker Alcoa might cut the output at its New York plant due to the lower demand and prices.

As per report, Alcoa plans to cut production temporarily from May 2009 and it will bring its total production cuts to over 850,000 tonnes annually.
