
Slowdown signs - South Korean H2 auto sales may drop by 5pct
Yonhap reported that South Korea's domestic sales of automobiles is likely to drop by 5.6% YoY in the second half of 2010 due to weakening demand following the end of government support programs.
According to the report by the Korea Automotive Research Institute, domestic sales in the July to December 2010 period are expected to reach some 760,000 units, also pulling down the output of five South Korean automakers by 3.2% YoY to some 1.92 million units.
