The trade union said that solidarity had concluded a new recognition deal with steel giant ArcelorMittal South Africa.
In a statement, the union said that the deal reaffirmed its bargaining and organizational rights at the firm.
Solidarity said it met both criteria along with the National Union of Metalworkers of SA. It added that "The organizational rights are now set at 15% representation in the company, while bargaining rights are granted to trade unions with at least 25% representation."
