Yonhap reported that South Korea's auto parts exports to Japan rose sharply in the first seven months of 2012, reducing a chronic trade deficit in the industry with the neighboring country.

According to the data compiled by the state run Korea Trade Investment Promotion Agency, shipments of South Korean auto parts to Japan reached USD 461 million in the January to July 2012 period, up by 29% YoY.
