It is reported that southern Taiwanese distributors hiked the rebar reselling prices currently, driven by Feng Hsin’s price rise of TWD 200 per tonne last week.

At present, the rebar reselling prices are at TWD 20,100 per tonne, increased by TWD 200 per tonne from TWD 19,900 per tonne in southern Taiwanese market last week.

It's known that Feng Hsin, one of the major rebar mills in Taiwan increased the rebar list prices by TWD 200 per tonne this week in response to sharply rising scrap prices in international market.

For the prospect, dealers indicated that the rebar prices may stand firmly at TWD 20,000 per tonne despite of weak demand since the scrap prices have continued to increase recently.
