It is reported that the southern Taiwanese steel mills decided to raise the rebar prices by TWD 300 per tonne to TWD 19,000 per tonne after Feng Hsin, one of the major rebar mills in Taiwan announced to hike pries by TWD 300 per tonne on November 21st 2011.
It is known that Feng Hsin increased the rebar prices by TWD 300 per tonne for this week in response to rising scrap prices in international market.
Dealers said that the total price hike of rebar has come to TWD 500 per tonne in the current two weeks in southern Taiwanese market.
However, there are no deals so far as distributors still have stocks on hand. Thus, they would hold orders rather placing order at this moment.
