Ssangyong Motor Co, South Korea's smallest automaker, said that its sales surged by 38.2% YoY in 2011, helped by strong exports and domestic demand.

The company sold 113,001 vehicles in 2011 as compared with 81,747 units a year earlier. Domestic sales jumped 19.1% YoY to 38,651 units with exports shooting up 50.8% YoY to 74,350 vehicles.
