It is reported that a EUR 20 million contract has been signed between the city of Mainz and Swiss company Stadler Pankow GmbH.

Under the contract, Stadler will supply the German city with 9 Variobahn trams with an option for further 6 vehicles.

Mr Michael Daum CEO of Stadler Pankow GmbH said that "This contract proves that Variobahn is becoming more and more popular on the European market."
