Steel scrap prices continue on path of recovery

It is reported that steel scrap are continuing on increased trend with Turkish buyers accepting prices of USD 460 per tonne CIF FO and it is expected that in coming week, the prices will go up further.

Also in Italy and in minor extent in Spain scrap price has jumped by EUR 30 per tonne to EUR 50 per tonne from bottom of EUR 275 per tonne to present EUR 320 per tonne.

As a result all long products producers have stopped offering for the time being to better understand market trend at the beginning of the New Year.
