
According to report of Sweden's Steel Producers' Association Jernkontoret, Sweden produced 308,000 million tonnes of crude steel in August 2011, down by 5.5% YoY while increased by 13.1% MoM.
In addition, Sweden's crude steel production in the first eight months of 2011 totaled 3.368 million tonnes, up by 7% YoY.
It is known that Sweden's steel enterprises have aimed to produce high quality steel products to stand in the global market. The data showed that alloy steel accounted for 60% of the country’s total steel production.
Besides, Jernkontoret indicated that Sweden's demand for steel products started rebound in the end of 2009 and its crude steel output reached 4.8 million tonnes in 2010, surged by 73% YoY.
