Reuters reported that TATA Motors Limited's global vehicle sales fell by 4% YoY in September 2012, with sales at its key Jaguar Land Rover subsidiary also falling 4%.

TATA Motors, part of the salt to steel TATA Group conglomerate, sold a total of 103,656 vehicles in September 2012.

Overall passenger car sales stood at 48,895 vehicles, down by 11% YoY from a year earlier.

TATA sold 26,461 Jaguar Land Rover vehicles in September 2011. Commercial vehicle sales rose by 3% YoY to 54,761.
