In 2011, Taiwan's scrap purchase volumes totaled 11.21 million tonnes, down by 1% YoY.

Among them, 5.90 million tonnes were from China, falling by 0.9% YoY and 5.34 million tonnes were from overseas markets, decreasing by 1% YoY.

In the given period of time, Taiwan's crude steel output totaled 20.18 million tonnes.
