Taiwanese steel export value dropped by 7.2pct YoY in May

According to the statistics released by the Taiwan Ministry of Finance, Taiwan's export value of iron and steel and articles made from iron and steel amounted to USD 1.6 billion in May 2012, decreasing by 7.2% YoY.

In the first five months of 2012, Taiwan's export value of iron and steel and articles made from iron and steel decreased by 3.2% YoY, amounting to USD 8 billion.

Meanwhile, in the first five months of 2012 Taiwan's import value for the products in question decreased by 15.1% YoY to USD 5.4 billion.
