
Technip announced that has been awarded a contract by W&T Offshore Inc for the Daniel Boone field development in the Gulf of Mexico. This field is located in Green Canyon Block 646, at a water depth of 1,349 meters and will be tied back to the Front Runner Spar.
The contract covers:
1. Engineering for the installation, welding and installation of a production rigid flow line (23 miles long) terminating at the spar with a flexible riser
2. Design, fabrication and installation of an in line structure and PLET
3. Engineering for the installation and installation of an umbilical (23 miles long), jumper and flying leads
Technip’s operations and engineering center in Houston is executing this contract. The flow line has been welded at the Group’s spool base located in Mobile. The riser was fabricated in Le Trait. Offshore installation is scheduled for the second quarter of 2009, using the Deep Blue, Technip's deepwater pipe lay vessel. First production for Daniel Boone is expected to be in the second half of 2009.
