It is reported that Tenaris Group targets investments of USD 150 million in Romania by 2013, mainly in the construction of new thread pipe units for the oil industry and energy sector.

The company recently opened a service center for companies in the oil and gas industry, representing an investment of USD 5 million. The center is located in the Ploiesti Industrial Park and aims to reduce customer costs and risks.

Tenaris entered the local market in 2004, since when it has invested over USD 150 million in two production units in Romania.
