Thai floods to cut Japanese Q3 2011 crude steel output - METI
The Trade Ministry in Tokyo said that flooding in Thailand will cut Japan's crude steel output by 890,000 tonnes in the October to December quarter from an October estimate of 28.2 million tonnes.
Nippon Steel Corporation said after the ministry announcement that it believed the Thai flooding was unlikely to sharply reduce Japan's car output in the financial year to March 2012.
