Thanks to the teamwork of a multidisciplinary group of workers, construction and commissioning of power plants continues to advance within the Siderurgica del Orinoco Alfredo Maneiro, Sidor, because now the schedule of activities planned by the team Engineering company is complying fully, making the second week of August the plant to count with an increase of 80% as far as engineering, procurement and construction is concerned.
Among the work done on the ground A, include: The completion of the wiring unit 100 LM transformer 6000 to 13.8/115 KV; placement of switches and high voltage disconnectors switching yard of 115 KV, advance 60% in the placement of water pipes, gas and liquid fuel pipe on bridges, completion of fighting water pipes, laying of control room and water cooling system of the unit 7 EA, installation of gas compressors LM 6000 units on the slab foundation.
While the plant B presents a preview of 40% in recent days carried out successfully discharge of 550 cubic meters 280 kilogram per square centimeter strength concrete in the slab foundation of the 7FA unit of 170 MW, the excavation of the tanquilla MH 3 power, as well as the bed of the interconnection between sections 4 and MH-MH 5, and 38% assembly of the walls of coverage of the 7EA turbine unit.
Another goal established under this project, was the arrival at the vessel dock Industrial Champ Sidor, who brought three important pieces such as gas compressors, stainless steel tubing for interconnection of the units and equipment of high voltage system A. For the August 18th 2010 is expected to arrive in port of a new vessel from Houston that brings, among other things, the turbine unit 200 LM 6000.
In this project work more than 220 workers during the seven days of the week in order to make the month of September, incorporating the first 175 megawatts to the National Interconnected System.
