AP reported that Timken Co, which makes ball bearings and transmission products, has a tentative 4 year contract agreement with leaders of a United Steel Workers local that covers 2,300 workers in Canton.

Timken said that the current contract was extended to October 31st 2009 to allow time for a ratification vote later this month by members of USW Local 1123.
