
Reportedly, Japanese Tokyo Steel announced to increase the H2 scrap purchase prices by JPY 4,000 to JPY 6,000 per tonne for consecutive five times since December.
Among them, the H2 scrap purchase prices in Okayama plant are is at JPY 33,500 per tonne to JPY 34,000 per tonne; that in Kyushu plant is at JPY 33,500 per tonne to JPY 34,000 per tonne; that in Takamatsu plant is at JPY 32,500 per tonne; that in Tahara plant is at JPY 32,500 per tonne; that in Utsunomiya plant is at JPY 33,000 per tonne.
At the same time, the average prices of Japanese H2 scrap in Kanto, Central and Kansai region was JPY 29,568 per tonne, up by JPY 1,765 per tonne from a week earlier. It has increased for consecutive five weeks.
