Kyodo News reported that three Toyota Motor Corporation group firms will establish a new automotive air conditioning compressor manufacturing company in Bekasi in Indonesia, next month to meet the growing needs of the automobile market in southeast Asia and India.

As per report, the firm, to be called PT TD Automotive Compressor Indonesia, will be set up by Toyota Industries Corporation, Denso Corporation and Toyota Tsusho Corporation as well as locally-based P.T. Astra Otoparts to succeed and beef up the production capability of a precedent compressor operation in the area that was run solely by Denso.

The joint firm is set to begin production in June 2011 with the aim of manufacturing one million units in the first year of operation through March 2012. It hopes to increase the capacity to 1.6 million by the end of fiscal 2015.
