It is reported that the prices of wires and wire rods have still remained flat in the Taiwanese domestic market even though the prices have surged by around USD 30 per tonne in a week in the Chinese domestic market, driven by the US's QE3 monetary policy.
Tycons, one of the major wire product makers in Taiwan, said that the firm expected that the prices of wire and wire rod would rise in the Taiwanese domestic market in the fourth quarter, boosted by the rising prices in the Chinese market.
Meanwhile, Tycoons said that its received order volumes for fasteners in September 2012 remained at the same level of August 2012.
