US Steelworkers Union has called steelworkers together to strike at 12:01 AM on February 1st 2012 in order to ask for shutdown of smelting plant safely and orderly.

It is predicted that most steel mills might refuse this request. On the other hand, they prepare to ask for temporary during the strike.

The union and steel mills was doing the negotiations for three year terms contract. Unfortunately, the negotiations continued and failed to make significant progress at the moment.
