It is reported that United Steelworkers union has reached a tentative collective bargaining agreement with the potential new owners of Crucible Materials Corporation.
That potential owner is Black Eagle Holding. The union plans to present the tentative deal to its members at Casa Grande restaurant, State Fair Boulevard, Geddes.
The company puts on hold plans to close the Geddes mill last week to allow potential buyers to see the plant in operation. Crucible notified the state Department of Labor and the 693 employees that it had extended the closing to October 16th 2009.
According to court documents, nine companies expressed interest in buying Crucible.
