
It is reported that Quinco Steel Inc has been fined more than USD 111,000 for alleged violations of federal worker safety law.
As per repot, US Department of Labor's Occupational Safety & Health Administration cited Quinco Steel Inc of Chicago Heights with the proposed penalties. The citations follow an inspection of a bridge construction site in Chicago where the company was providing steel erection work.
Quinco Steel Inc was cited for failure to use proper fall protection for workers. Other violations involved failing to ensure workers were wearing personal floatation devices while working over water and improper storage of compressed gas cylinders.
Quinco Steel Inc has 15 business days to respond.
