Ottawa's agreement with US Steel ending a lawsuit against the company for not living up to investment promises is still not clear not to workers at the company's operations in Nanticoke.
Mr Bill Ferguson of Steelworkers Local 8782 said that the union asked the Federal Industry Minister for details almost a month ago, but there still has been no response.
And Mr Ferguson wonders just what the agreement is going to mean in the end for workers and the Investment Canada Act. He notes the new American owners of London's Locomotive Plant are demanding employees take a 50% wage cut or operations will be moved to the States.
Mr Ferguson said that when there's an agreement affecting the welfare of citizens, the citizens should be the first to know.
