
The US' three major automakers released their sales for September 2012.
General Motors said that it reported its highest September 2012 US sales since 2008 at 210,245 vehicles, up by 1.5% YoY. Ford sold 174,976 vehicles in September 2012, unchanged from a year ago, although retail sales were up by 4% YoY.
The most impressive sales came from Chrysler, which sold 142,041 units, a 12% YoY increase and the group's best September since 2007. September was also the 30th consecutive month of year over year sales gain and Q3 sales were up by 13% YoY versus Q3 2011.
