The Venezuelan Automotive Industry reported that a total of 58,044 cars were assembled in January to June 2012 period, 6,621 above the same term last year.

While the growth rate is far behind the sector's expectations for this year, it is at least an upturn despite late allocation of foreign currency in the first half of 2012.
