Reuters reported that workers at Freeport McMoRan's Cerro Verde copper pit in Peru will go on strike November 3 to demand better benefits.

A union official said that "Union workers have unanimously decided" to hold the strike action.”

Cerro Verde is the No 3 copper pit in the world's No 2 copper producer.
