
Taiwan's Yieh Hsing has announced to hike the wire rod prices by TWD 1,000 per tonne for domestic market for April 2011 delivery on March 31st 2011.
Yieh Hsing said that the company decided to raise the wire rod prices for April 2011 delivery as it has received a large amounts of inquiries from Southeast Asia after Japan's massive earthquake.
In fact, the company has increased the prices for consecutive four months since this year as the raw material prices have remained strong in global market. The total price rise has reached TWD 2,500 to TWD 3,000 per tonne.
Meanwhile, industry sources indicated that the company's price hike tallied with the market participants' forecast. Furthermore, it has been seen that the wire rod prices stay firm in Taiwan's market.
