It is reported that Taiwanese Yieh Phui announced to increase the domestic prices of galvanized and coated steel by TWD 500 per tonne and TWD 1,000 per tonne respectively.

It is analyzed that Yieh Phui’s price hike was driven by the price rise of China Steel Corporation. It is known that CSC increased the list prices for October and November delivery by TWD 500 per tonne.

Thus, Yieh Phui decided to hike the domestic price to reduce the loss despite of the weak demand.
