For the fourth consecutive year, Tenaris has been recognized by the World Steel Association for its participation in the Climate Action Program, which acknowledges steel producers who have fulfilled their commitment to participate in the worldsteel carbon dioxide emissions data collection program.

Mr Paolo Rocca CEO Tenaris received the Climate Action certificate on October 9th 2012, during the worldsteel's annual assembly that took place in India. Worldsteel is one of the largest industry associations in the world. It represents approximately 170 steel producers, national and regional steel industry associations, and steel research institutes.

All steel companies are invited to report their plant's carbon dioxide emissions in an online database, which will contribute to understanding the current level of emissions from the production of steel worldwide and to identifying benchmark improvements in different countries.

Tenaris's energy savings project, which was launched in 2009, is providing the framework to identify improvement opportunities to decrease the specific energy consumption of its main mills, contributing to a reduction in carbon dioxide emissions.
