AQM Copper Inc announced that AQM is shifting its main focus from exploring the Zafranal property to working on development plans. As a consequence, the Company's Vice President Exploration and General Manager of AQM Copper Peru, a subsidiary of AQM Copper Mr Alvaro Fernandez Baca will reduce his day to day involvement with AQM. With the release of the resource report earlier in 2012 the Company's exploration program will be reduced and the focus shifted to other potential targets on the property and on progressing the preliminary economic assessment, set to be issued later this year. Mr Fernandez Baca will continue to provide his services to AQM and will remain as the Qualified Person for purposes of NI 43-101.

AQM announced that Lorenzo de la Puente has been appointed as General Manager AQM Copper Peru, effective July 1st 2012. Mr de la Puente is principal of the law firm Delapuente Abogados specializing in mining and environmental law. Since graduating from Pontificia Universidad Catolica del Peru law school in 1996 and earning a Masters Degree from the University of Houston Law Center in 2000, Mr de la Puente has worked for Delapuente Abogados for the last 10 years.
