African Eagle Resources released further drill results from the oxidized zone at Miyabi gold project in Tanzania.

The results were received from its JV partner BrightStar Resources Limited and showed that the Myabi structural corridor is highly prospective and that further systematic exploration would likely increase the 0.5 million ounce resource previously delineated by African Eagle.

According to the company statement, the deeper drilling has now begun at Myabi to test for higher grade mineralization beneath these shallower RAB intersections.

The RAB drilling program commenced at Miyabi in June 2011 and comprised 445 holes for 12,013 meters. The majority of RAB holes tested the highly prospective granite and greenstone contact zone with shallow holes drilled at 30 meters spacing along fences 200 meters apart.

Results have now been received from around 80% of the RAB holes drilled the remaining results and first results from the RC drilling are expected in early December 2011.

The Miyabi gold project is a Joint Venture between African Eagle and ASX listed BrightStar Resources Limited under which BrightStar can earn up to 75% of the project by completing exploration and a feasibility study.

The results also showed 9 meters at 1.82 grams per tonne gold from 21 meters to end of hole. 24 meters with 0.51 gram per tonne gold from 15 meters to eoh including 6m at 1.61 gram per tonne of the yellow metal from 24 meters.

The finds also included 6m at 1.14 gram per tonne gold from 18 meters, 6 meters at 0.93 gram per tonne Au from 9 meters, 6 meters at 0.42 gram per tonne Au from 21 meters to eoh and 11 meters at 0.46 gram per tonne Au from 12 meters to eoh.

African Eagle is also developing the major Dutwa nickel project in Tanzania. The Company discovered Dutwa in 2008 and is now conducting a feasibility study. The Company is evaluating a second promising nickel deposit at Zanzui, 50 kilometers south of Dutwa.
