Daily Commercial reported that Alcan Cable hosted a grand opening ceremony for its recently commissioned aluminum alloy cable manufacturing facility located at Tianjin of People's Republic of China.

Mr Ivan Salamin GM of Alcan Alloy Products Company said that "With localized production capabilities, Alcan Cable can now provide high quality innovative cable solutions and outstanding customer service and technical support to our customers in China. This undoubtedly represents an important milestone for the development of the Chinese market for our STABILOY products."

The world class Tianjin Plant is the first production facility wholly owned by Alcan Cable in China. This state of the art manufacturing plant is located in the Tianjin Airport Industrial Park and manufactures the STABILOY brand of aluminum alloy building wire for residential commercial, institutional and industrial power construction applications in the Chinese market.
