PTI reported that aluminium prices declined by INR 0.70 per kilogram to INR 95.75 per kilogram as traders indulged in reducing their positions on the back of weakening global trend.
February contract shed INR 0.70 or 0.73% to INR 95.75 per kilogram at the Multi Commodity Exchange with an open interest of 2,851 lots. Similarly, March contract traded lower by INR 0.55 or 0.56% to INR 97.05 per kilogram in 545 lots.
Market analysts said that weakening trend at the London Metal Exchange and selling by traders led to fall in prices at the futures market here. Meanwhile, the metal shed 0.7% to USD 2,100 per tonne at the LME.
