Aluminum price to jump above USD 3,000 per tonne in 2010

According to Mr Jorge Vazquez the analyst in Harbor Intelligence, aluminum price is predicted to jump to above USD 3,000 per tonne by May 2010 due to strong recovery in aluminum demands especially from automobile and building sectors.

Also, in his estimation, aluminum price is very likely to go up further to USD 2,600 per tonne in the end of 2009 from current USD 2,000 per tonne. Meanwhile, strong demands brought about tight supply in aluminum scrap.
