Reuters reported that Azerbaijan plans to double aluminium production to up to 107,000 tonnes in 2014 after a state owned plant capacity expansion banking on growth in China.

An official said that plant development will allow it to produce between 100,000 tonnes and 107,000 tonnes of aluminium per year starting from 2014.
